News (July '05):
Forget Edward Woodward...
Wickerman Lives (near Kirkubright seemingly)
This weekend saw us play a blistering set at
the lovely Wickerman Festival, courtesy of The
Shoogakube Collective. Wee Sally-Ann(?) below was a witness.
As you can see, she's become the youngest funker to join the Mosa
fold:

of a lovely mosa tambourine

Sista Birte gets all old-skool
hippy on us - Bagpuss will be wanting his fur back by the looks
of it too...

The Appleby's watching Uncle Ian
strut his stuff onstage

Watching me watching you watching
me watching you etc,etc...(do you get the picture?)
The end of a fantastic day was heralded
by the burning of the Wickerman on a wee hillock - most complements
went out to the Shoogakube-run Rowan Tent. All the live acts and
djs put in a such a storming performance that the tent was packed
all day with enthusiastic music lovers. We all look forward to next
year and maybe we'll see you there again! Shout out to Ian Appleby
for all his organisational skills and effort in pulling off a memorable
event.

Up in flames - the Finale of the
Wickerman Festival 2005
From G8 to T's Great (groan!)
A volatile week in the news and a busy week for
the Mosa kids. First of the week kicked off with a G8 fundraiser
Rhythms & Resistance with the Figure 5 at the
SubClub on Tuesday night.
Friday saw the Mosa circus arriving at Balado
for a special private T in the Park-related event at a secret location,
all in aid of Common Ground and The Thistle Foundation.
The event was opened by fine young upstarts Crossed
Out (pictured below) who, with an average age of 15, gave us a run
for our money!

Powercut Productions followed with a blinding
set from Freestyle Master, Damaged Goodz, Cad and Steg G providing
the crowd with some up to the minute Raw Scottish Hip Hop.
As for us... everyone who was there witnessed
a special gig - video proof to follow. Watch this space.
Below, The Mosas make their presence felt at T
in the Park
Also hats off to Red
Organ Serpent Sound (close friends of a certain Mosa) who played
an incredible set in the futures tent on the Sunday. These guys
from Derry are going to be huge. Check them out if you get the chance
and remember where you heard it first (pictures below):

Carnivalistic!

Sunday 26th- Carnival Arts. Mairead
jumps off-stage to get friendly with the stilt-walkers. Talk about
Pole Dancing...
A busy weekend for the Mosas kicked
off with a friday night headline spot at the Soundhaus. Check the
pictures below for evidence! We then swapped the smoky atmosphere
of the club for the warm sunshine of the Carnival Arts Merchant
City Parade on sunday afternoon. Thanks to the Carnival Arts crew
and Shoogakube for a dazzling weekend. Special VIP shout out to
Michael for his engineering skillz.

Friday 24th - Soundhaus. Mosa Sistas
Karris & Marley strike a pose. We love them for it. Go Mosa
Girls!

This is what its all about - Charlie
& Laura from the Club

At the Soundhaus - Selim begins
to see the light. Pablo looks on in wonder...

(see previous picture)...no wonder!

Soundhaus - this feisty funker
appears in several pictures. Who are you? Send us an email and we'll
send you a Mosa Goodie bag.
