Favela IS Happenin' Part 2...and verily it surely did (but just don't call me "Shirley")
Everybody now: "Oh lets all do the Mosa! Lets all do the Mosa! Trallalalala (Oi!)...." Fun Fun Fun Friday again for our merry band of silly folks at our regular Favela night (as you can see above). The kidz were unable to contain themselves on the night as it happens and fell into some spontaneous conga'ing round the room! Thanks as always to the lovely B*licious (pictured) and Furious Breaks of Funkin' Gonuts for spinning the best funk & breaks vinyl this side of the merchant city (and a bit of back slappin' for Crazylegs for playin' records too):

A lovely innocent smile - disguises the ragin', seethin' disco-funk lovin' queen beneath! As there ain't no Breakestra support (boo!) its a bit quiet for the next month but keep checking as we add some more pics and videos. Next up is April so keep those diaries clear. As the above suggests, due to reasons completely within our control we will no longer be supporting the mighty Breakestra at the Arches... we have been forced to withdraw from it, which is a major downer for us! We'd still totally advise everyone with soul to head down to the gig regardless as they are easily one of the best funk bands on the planet right now and it'd be a shame to miss 'em! :-/ However we will definitely be doing it doubly funky this Friday 24th February at Favela. Featuring the mighty talents of DJs B*licious and Furious Breaks (each of Carnival Arts Centre infamy) on the decks, classic Soul from Crazylegs and a 1 hour Live set from us to round it off. Doors are at 10pm, with the band hitting the stage at 12 - tax is £5 buuuttt For those who have received their lovely laminate VIP passes(tm) or who are on the mailing list, entry is a paltry £3!
