News (August '05):
All Action at the Arches pt.2
As promised, some pictures from the night.
Firstly, a little fun in the dressing room courtesy
of Emfada and Captain Cliktrak (indeed):

Ms. Emfada attempts to blend seemlessly
into the background... unsuccessfully as it happens

Mere moments later - the Mosa's took to the stage.

Mairead catches a small cat mid-flight
Crowd mayhem ensued
(n.b. the Mosa Funk Club cannot be held responsible
for patrons losing the plot in the course of their set. Patrons
Funk at their own risk):

The Arches - smoky, sweaty and
funky - all at the same time with Clarky at the Helm of a large
tambourine

Meet Marley and Karis: we like
them a lot. We think you will too! Not quite sure why that cat next
to her looks so perplexed mind you... never seen someone attempt
the old "balance the fag on the head" trick before?
Once again, thanks to all the folks
who made it down - in our own cute way, we love every single last
one of you. Sign up for the mailing list - come to a party. Let
go.

All Action at the Arches pt.1
We came, we saw, we funked!
Quite possibly one of the best gigs of the year
so far happened at the FunK Room! on friday night. Props to those
who made it there on the night- double props to those who danced
the night away afterwards on the floor at the Arches after our set
ended. Kudos also to DJ Pogo, Freestyle Master, Damaged Goodz and
of course, the resident Funk Room! DJs Simon 'Bigbeat' Hodge and
Andy 'Divine' Symington.
PC Mad wi' It was there to lend a hand with
the percussion duties. Photos to follow but check out our good friend
Thomas Neil's website Kokone
for evidence of our night. P.S. don't we look nice in green?

Mosa Magic at McChuills
The funk comes alive in the East End
This weekend saw Team Mosa arrive on the oldest
street in Glasgow armed with some of the newest, rawest funk sounds
out there. Shouts out to the Old Skool Mosa Funkers who attended
and a welcome to the Nu-Skool (see below). Thanks to Clarky for
top support and introduction, Michael of Sound Acoustic Services
for his skills on the Mixing desk and to everyone who stayed to
witness an explosive set and then checked out the Aftershow back
at the club (see below - click here).

Old Skool Mosas - Birthday Girl
Lesley-Ann + Andy, there since gig No.1 - thanks guys!

The table turns on Danny The Photographer
(original Snapper of the Mosa Logo)

More original Mosa Monkeys in
their natural habitat - Craig and Clarky, cheers guys

Mairead Invited Charlie onstage
for a bit of Bongo Action - no Charlie, not with your tongue!
Another
amazin' aftershow party back at the Club. Thanks to all the DJs
who played blinding sets through the night (until 10 in the morning
actually!): Kenny Breaks of Shoogakube - as the
name says, a master of the breakbeat; CJ of the
Unit - the Acid King...check out Mekanik on the 12th of this month;
+ Kirsty and John from the Arches - check them
out sundays in the Cafe Bar. Thanks to Stuart (Sound Acoustics)
for some superb extra mixing back in the control room. Halfway through
the night, PC Mad-wi-it showed up to tell us to turn the noise down...
and stayed for the rest of the night. See gallery and photos below

Bracchy back at the Club - a stand
up king. Cheers mate! (p.s. we never even paid him!)
