Since our last update MFC have found a new rehearsal space with stable mates and dear friends The Urban Acid Frenzy.
Just some work to do on the control room, and this place will be awash with high quality funk recordings like never before. The AWB kicked down the doors, but we are prising them open with our finger tips. All for the same result (here's hopin).
Anyhows.. an incredible new funk outfit has been born, and you can witness it first hand at Mcuills in the High St of Glasgow on Sat 22nd of May. On stage at 10pm.
I must admit that it has been and is a pure pleasure to be now working with some of the most talented and groovy musos that this city has to offer. Along with Corry Keys we have
Davie Mitchel ... delivers guitar solos that some can only dream about while sniffin various powders (meow), and is guaranteed to send a tingle down ones spine at some point during a gig.
Mick Mcmahon ... locks a bassline so tight that sometimes we need a crowbar to get out from it.
Mark Mcguiness ... his power drummin is just ..well frightening
Ed Higgens ... along with his funky drums, his percussion playin is legendary. Have you ever heard a set of congas talk?
Anyway don't take my word as gospel, come along on the 22nd May and see for yourself.
Along with the Urban Acid Frenzy, the above will with no doubt cause a funky stir, within the musical circles of Glasga "The Commenweath city of funk"
